Fine wood dust is harmful to the lungs and lingers in the air for hours - and belt grinders make tons of it. Use this after-market dust collector in conjunction with your shop vac with 2-1/2" fittings to minimize dust and keep your shop clean. This dust collector uses magnets to attach to the back of your 2" wide belt sanders platen/grinding surface and you can easily remove the dust collector when grinding metal by loosening 2 thumb screws and sliding the dust collector off the magnetic bracket.
 
Use this sharpening jig with your belt grinder to quickly establish a consistent edge on your knives and get them razor sharp in minutes. This comes with 2 angles to choose from, 15° and 20°, depending on the intended use for the knife.
 
Compatibility: This dust collector and sharpening jig will work with your belt grinder if the platen is 2" wide, made from steel, and has access to both sides (no angle iron). To use the dust collector with your work rest, you may need to switch the tool arm and work rest arm positions on your grinder.
 
Safety: THE DUST COLLECTOR IS ONLY TO BE USED WHILE SANDING WOOD AND COMPOSITES. Using it while grinding metal will cause fires and/or cause the wood dust in the shop vac to explode.
